Set to launch on the 12th of September 2018, Apple’s brand new iPhones are about to make a dazzling debut.
As recent rumours suggest, three new designs will be revealed, each of which mimics much of the iPhone X – Apple’s best selling device to date. Tantalising exclusive invitees with a call to ‘gather round’, the event is set to offer buyers iPhones in three different sizes, which includes a more “affordable” device.
While the rumours and information leaks so far haven’t dived into each of the models in-depth, take a look at our post below for some of the more exciting specs users can look forward to!
In our snoop for more information on Apple’s brand new iPhones , screen sizing proved to be one of the most hotly-discussed areas.
Here, it’s safe to say that buyers will soon be privy to Apple’s biggest device yet – a gigantic device with a rumoured screen size of 6.5-inches. In addition to this, two other devices with screen sizes of 5.8 inches and 6.1 inches are also to be launched, the latter being the budget device industry specialists are looking forward to.
With versatile new options and a supposedly wallet-friendly price tag, these new devices are set to be favourites the moment they enter the market.
Another one of the most hyped specs Apple’s brand new iPhones are expected to feature is the rumoured dual-SIM capacity. All iPhone releases so far have only allowed users a single SIM slot, far behind most other smartphones on the market.
If true, this new addition is likely to catapult iPhone sales this year, allowing users to toggle between work and personal SIM’s, as well as international and domestic numbers.
Among the most discussed aspects of Apple’s brand new iPhones, names have proved to be an area of consistent debate.
While most rumours indicate that the device is to be called the iPhone XS, it’s unclear whether the ‘XS’ refers to ‘excess’ or ‘extra small’. This is even though the company is, in all likelihood, set to release its largest model to date. Other popular variants include the iPhone 9 and iPhone 9 plus (for successors to the iPhone 8 models), iPhone 11 and 11 Plus, iPhone XS Plus, iPhone X Plus or even the iPhone Plus.
Overall, while names are likely to be a little confusing and maybe even completely different than expected, Apple is, nonetheless, set to surprise buyers with something completely unprecedented with its upcoming launch.
As usual, Apple’s brand new iPhones have also set the industry in a frenzy over their potential camera features.
They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and in that regard, Apple, is no stranger. Set to borrow a leaf from Huawei, buyers are expected to be treated to a smashing triple lens camera on one of its releases.
Further, it has also been predicted that the new releases will tote a 3D scanner on its rear camera. This is in addition to the existing TrueDepth scanner on the iPhone X, which is used for Face ID, Animojis, and similar features. According to Bloomberg, this feature relies on a structured light technique that projects a pattern of 30,000 laser dots to a user’s face and measures distortion.
The new system, on the other hand, is likely to utilise a time-of-flight method, that calculates the time it takes for a laser to bounce off surrounding objects. This scanner will likely play a leading role in Apple’s superior augmented reality applications.
With its new and improved screen sizes, added SIM slot, and copied triple lens feature, Apple’s brand new iPhones are set to launch a revolutionary turn in the smartphone industry.
While most of the rumoured specs aren’t anything the industry hasn’t seen before, Apple is undoubtedly one of the only companies that can truly breathe life into these trends. While price tags are likely to cause an audible groan, the budget model is set to be a popular choice for those who want the latest but don’t have the funds to back unmistakeable flagship devices.
